How do graphics actually get into video editing and how can this process be simplified?

In this episode, host Markus Appelmann talks to Björn Mill, Project Coordinator Graphics & Design, and Robert Kiehn, Graphic Designer, both from NDR. To insert and edit lower thirds, subtitles etc. , they use a tool they call internally "Easy Insert 2," also known as "Vulcano" from MoovIT. This allows graphics from Adobe After Effects to be automatically inserted into a newsroom system, for example. This not only has the advantage that the editor does not need to know After Effects. They also show how this makes it possible to standardize the entire graphics process, i.e. to ensure consistent branding in all formats.
